The Windsor High School is a high school located in Windsor, Colorado. It serves just under 1,100 students,[3] and employs about 63 faculty members[4].
The school's marching band has a long history. In 1991 and 1992 the band won state 2A championships and in 2008 the marching band won state 3A band.
It changed its name from "The Windsor High School Marching Band" to "Pride of Windsor Marching Band" after the state competition finals in 2008. The band performed for President Barack Obama's inaugural parade on January 20, 2009. They also took second in the state finals for 3A bands with the highest score this band has gotten, a 70.20. They took third place in 2010 with only the semi-finals practice to use as their finals run.
Windsor offers several sports including football, basketball, swimming, track and cross country. The school has approximately 12 clubs and organizations.
The boys' basketball team went to state competition in 1924, and went to nationals to win the national competition. They made it all the way to the state championship game in 2011 and lost to Sterling High School.
The boys' soccer team went to the quarter round of state playoffs in 2010. After a record of 16 shutouts, they lost to Mullen High School. They won their conference with only one loss against rival Northridge High School.
